“The food is like anything from the best Latin American restaurants around here – intensely flavored and ridiculously fresh. I tried the grilled shrimp, which comes with beans, rice and salad. It was a little strange to have my beans pureed, but they were warm and delicious and went well with the rice. The shrimp was really well marinated.
I’m kind of wary of your average side salad because it’s usually just a cheap filler with Iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. The version at El Marinero was made with fresh Romaine in small pieces, topped with house-made salsa and thin avocado slices. This came free with the shrimp, folks! Amazing.
Can’t forget the homemade Horchata either – it’s sweet and creamy with a bit of spice from the cinnamon. I will be back for that.” Five Star Yelp Review
