The CDA is managed by a full-time Executive Director who reports to the Board of Directors. The Board, business, and property owners is elected by members for two-year terms. Five directors represent geographic areas of the District and six directors are At Large. There are also five ex-officio directors. The Marketing and Programs Coordinator reports to the Executive Director.
Kayleigh Gunnoud, Executive Director
Kayleigh creates and implements the CDA’s marketing, maintenance, and amenity plans, manages the annual licensing renewal, finances, membership, and organization. She previously worked for The Hyattsville Community Development Corporation and DC Greenworks. She received her Masters in Public Administration from American University and has experience in community/economic development and creative placemaking. She joined the CDA in 2018.
Carmen Dominguez-Estrada, Marketing and Programs Coordinator
Carmen manages all social media accounts and maintains content calendars for platforms. She designs monthly email campaigns for CDA members and Takoma Park residents. She helps with the development of workshops, annual events in the Crossroads Commercial District, creative place-making initiatives, etc. She received her Bachelors’s in Advertising and Public Relations for the University of Wales – Escuela Superior de Comunicacion y Marketing in Spain. She joined the CDA in February 2020
Mike Gordon, At Large (Stout & Teague), President
Mike manages the Crossroads Professional Building and many other properties for Stout & Teague.
Mara Stein, At Large, Secretary
Mara Stein is the principal of Stein Legal, LLC, and practices immigration law.

George owns McDoris Fashion & Fabrics, a boutique that carries African fashion for men and women.
Linda Cornelius, Hampshire Place/Holton Lane (Law Office of Linda Cornelius)
Linda practices immigration law and is bilingual.
Samuel Franco, Takoma/Langley Crossroads Center, (Discount Mart)
Sammy owns Discount Mart, a large retailer in fashion, housewares, electronics, and furniture.
Bridget Avery, Takoma/Langley Crossroads Center, (Marked Salon & Barbershop)
Bridget is the owner of Marked Salon & Barbershop, the premier location for professional barbers, and hairstylists in Takoma Park, MD.
Michael Habte, Merrimac Square, (Angkor Supermarket)
Michael is the owner of Angkor Supermarket, a specialty Asian market serving the Crossroads community.
