Located at 7643 New Hampshire Ave, Takoma Park, San Alejo started with a Salvadoran family that sought to recreate the home-style cooking of their country’s countryside: their ancestral cuisine passed down from generation to generation. They use unique spices and ingredients to create authentic, high-quality food. Many of these ingredients are imported directly from El Salvador, such as morro beans, loroco, cashews, silk beans, and dairy products.
